Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander,” has expressed profound appreciation to dignitaries, political leaders, associates, friends and well-wishers who stood by him and his family during the burial of his younger cousin, Miss Ogoma Lilian Kelechukwu, describing their overwhelming support as a source of strength in one of the family’s most difficult moments.
In an appreciation message released after the burial, the Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms said the outpouring of love, prayers, condolence messages, physical presence and numerous acts of kindness before, during and after the funeral deeply comforted the bereaved family.
According to the President of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Forum, the solidarity shown by friends, associates and supporters reaffirmed the enduring values of family, friendship and humanity despite the pain of losing a loved one.
Ambassador Offor reserved special appreciation for the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, who, despite being outside the country on an official working visit, sent a heartfelt condolence message to the bereaved family. He also conveyed his profound gratitude to the Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Ogah (Agu N’eche Ibe); and the Executive Chairman (Mayor) of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Mayor Sunday Afuruobi who graced the burial with their physical presence and stayed all through, saying it meant a lot for the family.
He also sent a heartfelt appreciation to former Minister of state for Mines and Natural Resources, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, CON, Former Inspector General of Police of the Nigeria Police Force, Chief Mike Mbama Okiro, CON, former Minister of Power cum former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Chinedu Nebo, CON; former Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Chief Raymond Nkemdirim MFR (Ugwumba); the leadership, clergymen and members of the Methodist Church Nigeria, as well as other men of God whose prayers and spiritual support brought immense comfort to the family throughout the period of mourning.
De Ultimate Commander equally acknowledged the Labour Party leader in Umunneochi and Board Member Greater Ohafia Development Authority, High Chief Surv. Ikeh Orika; former Chairmen of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Hon. Billy Achara and Hon. Ijeoma Okorie.

He noted that the attendance, prayers, encouragement and unwavering support received throughout the burial rites gave the family the courage to bear the painful loss, adding that he remains humbled by the sacrifices many people made to identify with them during the period of mourning.
Reflecting on the life of the deceased, Ambassador Offor described the late Miss Ogoma Lilian Kelechukwu as a woman whose life was defined by compassion, loyalty, selfless service and an unwavering commitment to family, stressing that her exemplary character and enduring legacy would continue to inspire generations.
“On behalf of the Offor family and the entire bereaved family, I sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed in one way or another towards the successful burial of my beloved younger cousin. May the Almighty God richly bless you, reward your kindness and continue to protect you and your families. Thank you for standing with us. We remain forever grateful,” he said.
Miss Ogoma Lilian Kelechukwu was laid to rest on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in her hometown of Ubahu Nneato, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, with family members, friends, associates and sympathisers gathering to pay their final respects to a woman remembered for her love, sacrifice and unwavering devotion to humanity.
