The OTTIMENIA Movement has declared “Operation No Opposition 2027”, expressing appreciation to opposition elements in Abia State, especially the governorship aspirants for what it described as their wise decision to embrace the reality of good governance and development under the administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti OFR
This position was made known by Ambassador Dr Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” and Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, who praised political leaders across opposition parties, including the Kalu Blocs of APC and others, for reportedly stepping back from their governorship ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, such decisions demonstrate patriotism, political maturity, and a willingness to prioritize the collective interest of Abia people above personal ambition.
Ambassador Offor commended opposition stakeholders for heeding what he described as “sound advice” not to allow themselves to be used as instruments to disrupt the pace of development currently being witnessed in the state under Governor Otti’s leadership.
He maintained that the remarkable transformation across sectors in Abia has strengthened public confidence in governance and created a compelling case for continuity beyond 2027.
Speaking on the vision of the OTTIMENIA Movement, Ambassador Offor said the group remains committed to mobilizing grassroots support for the continuity of Governor Otti’s administration, stressing that the movement was established to champion people-oriented leadership, accountability, good governance, and sustainable development.
He noted that OTTIMENIA is fast evolving into a mass grassroots movement driven by citizens who desire continuity in governance, infrastructural renewal, economic reforms, improved healthcare delivery, enhanced educational standards, urban renewal, road rehabilitation, sanitation reforms, and transparent administration.
He further praised Governor Otti for what he described as giant strides in leadership, particularly in restoring confidence in public governance, rebuilding critical road infrastructure, improving security collaboration, repositioning the civil service, prioritizing workers’ welfare, and pursuing policies aimed at economic growth and inclusive development.
“Politics should be about service, not self-aggrandizement. The welfare and wellbeing of Abians must remain the cardinal objective of every genuine political actor. This is why we urge all well-meaning citizens and political stakeholders to join the OTTIMENIA Movement and support continuity for the greater good of our dear state,” he stated.
The movement reiterated that Operation No Opposition 2027 is not about suppressing democracy but about building broad consensus around continuity, stability, and sustained development for the benefit of future generations in Abia State.
