Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander”, has extended his warm congratulations to the Labour Party of Nigeria following the successful conduct of its National Convention, describing the exercise as a strong testament to the party’s growing internal democracy, unity of purpose, and readiness to play a defining role in Nigeria’s political future.
In his message, Ambassador Offor noted that the peaceful and well-organized convention reflects a renewed commitment by party stakeholders to institutional discipline, transparency, and collective progress. He emphasized that such a milestone not only strengthens confidence among party faithful but also reassures Nigerians that the Labour Party remains a credible platform for progressive governance and people-centered leadership.
He particularly commended the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for his exemplary leadership and visible strides in governance, which continue to serve as a shining model within the party and beyond. According to him, Governor Otti’s pragmatic and reform-driven approach in Abia State has elevated the credibility of the Labour Party, proving that the party is not just an opposition force but capable of delivering tangible results.
Ambassador Offor further stated that Governor Otti’s achievements in infrastructure renewal, financial discipline, and institutional reforms have inspired confidence among citizens and party members alike, reinforcing the belief that purposeful leadership can indeed transform governance in Nigeria. He described Otti as a symbol of the new leadership philosophy the Labour Party represents—one rooted in accountability, competence, and service to the people.
While applauding the newly elected leadership that emerged from the convention, Ambassador Offor urged them to remain steadfast, inclusive, and focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots structures across the country. He encouraged them to build on the momentum generated by the convention by fostering unity, expanding membership, and articulating policies that resonate with the aspirations of Nigerians.
